I went with Beatrice Trovato when she traveled back in time to 14th century Siena in this novel that held my interest from beginning to end. To enjoy time travel stories, a reader has to be accepting of a premise that a character is transported by some means to another time in history and sometimes the future. medicine, and epidemiology, she has published forty-seven nonfiction articles and book chapters. She is fluent in Spanish and French, literate in Latin, and has a passable knowledge of Italian. Dr. Winawer lives with her spouse and their three young children in Brooklyn, New York. The Scribe of Siena is her first novel.
